The roar of the arena, the entrance of the participants, and the tension leading up to the final moment form the foundation of sports shows, where attention is focused on the match and its outcome. Behind the organization of such events is an entity that manages leagues, broadcasts, and tournament operations. The TKO Group logo is associated with the company that unites the UFC and WWE and is responsible for organizing fights, shows, and media projects in the sports entertainment industry.

TKO Group: Brand overview

TKO Group was created in 2023 following the merger of UFC and WWE. The new structure united leading sports entertainment brands. The origins of this merger date back to 1993, when the UFC organization was founded in Denver. Mixed martial arts tournaments gained fame but also drew criticism for their excessive brutality.

In 2001, brothers Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta acquired UFC for $2 million. They implemented reforms, introduced unified rules, and established a weight class system. In 2005, the launch of the television series The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made the UFC popular worldwide. In 2016, the company was purchased by the WME-IMG agency for $ 4 billion.

WWE traces its history to 1953, when Jess McMahon founded Capitol Wrestling Corporation. In 1982, management passed to his grandson, Vincent McMahon Jr. He turned wrestling into a part of global popular culture. In 1999, WWE shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2014, the company launched its own streaming platform, WWE Network.

In April 2023, the merger of UFC and WWE took place. The deal exceeded 21 billion dollars. The new company was named TKO Group Holdings. Endeavor Group Corporation holds the controlling stake.

In September 2023, TKO shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. In January 2024, Vince McMahon resigned following allegations. Management passed to Dana White and Nick Khan.

In 2024, the company expanded its international presence. A contract was signed with Netflix for the exclusive broadcast of WWE Raw for ten years. The total value of the agreement was $ 5 billion.

TKO Group unites UFC, which holds about forty events annually, and WWE, which produces the weekly shows Raw and SmackDown. The company continues to strengthen its position in the global sports entertainment market.

The name TKO comes from the sports term “technical knockout.” A referee stops a fight when a competitor can no longer continue without posing an unacceptable risk to their health. For the group that brought UFC and WWE together, the name refers to combat sports and sports entertainment. TKO Group Holdings was formed on September 12, 2023, through the combination of World Wrestling Entertainment and Zuffa, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The logo consists of three large letters. The wordmark uses a heavy custom typeface with a rightward slant, sharp cuts, and angular edges. Similar lettering frequently appears in the identities of combat sports leagues and athletic organizations.

The color transitions from a bright yellow-green shade at the bottom to dark green at the top. The gradient creates depth and shine. A black outline separates the wordmark from the background, while a light inner line enhances the raised appearance. A wide green stripe with a pointed right edge runs along the bottom. It visually joins the letters into a single block.

In February 2025, the group acquired several Endeavor assets. PBR, On Location, and several IMG divisions joined the organization. Its operations expanded to include rodeo, sports marketing, media rights, content production, and major event management.
