Lincoln Logos and Brands
The American luxury car brand Lincoln Motor Company, a division of Ford Motor Company, is the basis of the Lincoln section. Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland and named after President Abraham Lincoln, the brand specializes in premium sedans and SUVs for the North American market. The Lincoln emblem, featuring a stylized four-pointed star (compass rose), has undergone many transformations over its more than 100-year history. In addition to the automotive brand, the section may include organizations and institutions associated with the city of Lincoln, Nebraska, and other cities in other states, as well as projects named after the 16th US president.
