Michelin Logos and Brands
The French tire giant, creator of Bibendum (the Michelin Man) and the restaurant guide of the same name, has its own section. Founded by the Michelin brothers in 1889 in Clermont-Ferrand, the company has turned the white, chubby tire man into one of the most recognizable mascots on the planet. In addition to tires for cars, trucks, and airplanes, Michelin publishes travel guides and awards stars to the world’s best restaurants. The section traces the brand’s visual history, where industrial products and gastronomic authority coexist under the wing of the same smiling Bibendum.
