Uzbekistan Logos and Brands
The Central Asian republic, which has inherited the architectural wealth of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, sets the context for the “Uzbekistan” section. Uzbekistan Airways, national sports federations, the Pakhtakor and Bunyodkor football clubs, and state-owned companies such as Uzbekneftegaz feature images of cotton flowers, Turkic-Islamic ornaments, and blue domes in their logos. Uzbekistan ranks fifth in the world in cotton production, and agricultural symbols are found in the emblems of many national institutions. The brands in this section reflect the identity of a country located on the Great Silk Road, where the ancient heritage of the Timurid era coexists with a young market economy opening up to the outside world after decades of isolation.
