In the late summer of 2006, a new entrant, YouPorn, entered the adult entertainment digital space. Established by MG Freesites Ltd. and based in Cyprus, YouPorn quickly emerged as a pioneering free adult tube platform.

YouPorn stood out for its innovative approach, giving people a free space to upload, share, and watch adult content. This new model, while lucrative, sent ripples through the established paid porn market. By 2007, it had reached unparalleled popularity, garnering 100 million views per month in just a year. Its rise can be attributed to its minimalist design and the vast cache of community-uploaded content.

Over the years, YouPorn continued to evolve. This included expanding its video library through alliances with notable studios such as Brazzers and Kink.com. A major upgrade was the introduction of extensive high-definition videos, which improved the user experience.

In a major 2010 business move, Manwin acquired the platform; Manwin later rebranded as MindGeek, the conglomerate behind prominent platforms like Pornhub and RedTube.

Today, YouPorn stands out among its contemporaries, drawing an impressive daily audience of over 115 million, a testament to its enduring appeal. While it consistently offers a vast array of free content, its journey hasn’t been without hurdles. Like its peers, it has seen recurring concerns about content consent, copyright breaches, and platform moderation. Regardless, YouPorn’s indelible mark on reshaping adult content accessibility is undisputed.
