Pfizer began conducting research in veterinary medicine in the 1950s. In 1952, the Vigo research center was opened in Indiana. It became the starting point for developing the animal health division. In 2016, the company introduced Simparica to the market. In 2017, it acquired Nexvet and KL Automation. The headquarters was located in New Jersey. In 2018, the company purchased Abaxis for $ 1.9 billion, expanding its capabilities in veterinary diagnostics.
In 2019, Zoetis enhanced its digital operations and launched the Vetscan Imagyst platform. That same year, Kristin Peck became CEO. From 2021 to 2023, the company acquired Jurox, Basepaws, and Petmedix. These deals strengthened its scientific foundation and international presence.
The company is the world’s largest producer of veterinary medicines and vaccines. It operates in more than one hundred countries.

The centerpiece of the logo is the bright orange word “zoetis,” set in sans-serif lowercase letters. The color lends the symbol a fresh and lively feel. The text is rendered in the Myriad typeface, whose smooth contours create a friendly image that complements the brand identity and conveys the company’s commitment to animal care.
