The world’s largest beer festival, held annually on the Theresienwiese meadow in Munich from late September to early October, defines the “Oktoberfest” theme. Six Munich breweries that admitted participation (Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner, and Spaten) bear historical emblems associated with Bavarian heraldry and centuries-old brewing traditions. In addition to beer brands, the festival has its own logo featuring recognizable symbols such as pretzels, beer mugs, and Bavarian diamonds.
