Established in 1948 in Rzeszów, Poland, Zelmer is a recognized producer of home appliances and smaller household items. The company embarked on its journey with the production of vacuum cleaners, which laid the foundation for its successful product line.

Zelmer’s portfolio has expanded significantly over the years. Today, it features various products, including vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, personal care products, and coffee makers. The company has earned a reputation for providing cost-effective household items, including blenders, food processors, kettles, toasters, fans, and irons. Its line also includes larger appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and hoods.

While Zelmer enjoys strong brand recognition in Poland and Eastern Europe, its presence in Western Europe still needs to be improved. However, the brand has seen considerable success, boasting over 150 million household appliances sold under the Zelmer name.

In 1993, the Italian group De’Longhi acquired Zelmer, although the Polish brand has continued to function independently. It operates manufacturing plants within Poland to cater to local market needs.

Zelmer has competition, however. It contends with other home appliance brands like Bosch, Whirlpool, and Amica. Despite this, Zelmer remains a respected name in its industry, known for its affordability and variety in the household appliance market.
