Mustek, an electronics firm from Taiwan, is known for producing desktop computers, laptops, computer peripherals, and various consumer electronics. Established in 1987, the company calls Taipei, Taiwan, its home base.

The company’s roots are in manufacturing optical storage devices like CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives. With time, Mustek diversified its product range to include desktop PCs, notebooks, servers, surveillance devices, and projectors.

Mustek markets its products under its namesake brand and provides OEM manufacturing services. Some of its key offerings include all-in-one PCs, laser printers, gaming accessories, and power supply units.

The company’s products are available in over 50 countries worldwide, with significant markets being Latin America, Europe, and Asia. As a public company, Mustek is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and has a global workforce of approximately 3000 employees.

In 2021, Mustek reported revenues of NT$ 27 billion, with more than 70% coming from the Optical Drives segment. The company operates manufacturing bases in Taiwan, China, and Mexico and maintains branch offices across the globe.

Asus, Acer, Pegatron, and Quanta are the company’s main rivals in the contracted PC/electronics manufacturing sector.
