While the old design featured a geometric sans serif font in a centered layout, it felt generic and more suited for a subscription service than a social impact company. The updated logo makes a bolder statement, using a much heavier sans-serif font to create a stronger presence. The chosen typeface, Dinamo’s ABC Gravity, adds weight and character to the design.

A standout feature of the new logo is the clever use of a rebus. The square at the end of “OTHER” represents the word “Box.” While it may not immediately suggest “Box” to all viewers, it highlights “OTHER” as a strong, impactful name. This draws attention to the concept of being “Other,” linking to checking the “Other” box on forms that ask for personal details like gender or race. This subtle shift reinforces the company’s focus on inclusivity and making space for those who don’t fit into traditional categories.
