He thought of starting a budget airline to meet this need. After two years of planning and fundraising, the company was launched in February 2015 with a starting fund of 5 million euros. Tirana, the capital of Albania, was chosen as the headquarters.

The initial phase involved hiring staff, getting licenses, buying planes, and setting up maintenance systems. By late 2015, the airline was ready to fly with two Avro RJ85 turboprop planes, each seating 95 passengers. The company’s first commercial flight was from Tirana to Istanbul on September 21, 2016.

The company offered flights to Istanbul-Atatürk, Rome, Bologna, Basel, and Verona. Soon, they added new routes to London, Barcelona, Palermo, Sardinia, Sicily, and the island of Pantelleria. As demand grew, the airline upgraded its fleet to include larger Airbus A319 jets carrying 156 passengers.
