Answear: Brand overview

In 2011, a new player in the online fashion retail market appeared in Poland – the company Answear, founded by Krzysztof Bajolek and Severin Szymoniak. The company’s initial goal was to introduce many international brands and exclusive collections to the Polish market, but it soon became the main supplier of brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Converse. Quickly finding a resonance with the fashionable youth, the company firmly entered the world of Polish fashion.

Not stopping there, by 2015, Answear had established itself in Romania. In 2017, Answear appeared in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the following years, the company set its course for far-flung countries, launching its brand in Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia in 2018-2019.

Financial support has helped the company’s development: in 2019, it received €56 million from prominent investors such as Movens Capital and Innova Capital. Answear currently dominates the online fashion market and has online stores in 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The company’s catalog is impressive: more than 600 famous global brands are represented in it. Going beyond numbers, the company has established trusted relationships with more than 5 million customers. The year 2021 was marked by a significant event: Answear joined the Romanian company Modivo, specializing in the sale of fashionable clothing.

The story of Answear is a story of ambition and relentless pursuit. Today, the company is among the leading online fashion retailers in the regions where it operates and expands the range of brands and limited edition collections offered. Apart from e-commerce, the company is a major employer, providing livelihood to over a thousand people in various hubs and logistics centers.

Answear Logo

This multi-brand online store from Poland strives for uniqueness, so it uses a logo with no sharp corners. Actually, there are no corners at all, just smooth curves and smooth transitions in height. Bold font with lowercase letters creates a relaxed atmosphere, inspiring confidence in customers on the site. The font used is Neubau Grotesque, designed by Ramiz Huseynov. The small distance between the glyphs also contributes to the trusting atmosphere, and the black color of the emblem speaks of a business approach.

The emblem resembles a friendly handshake but in design form. The close-up letters are reminiscent of a group of friends, showing that the site is a cool place. The black color is reminiscent of a suit but not too fancy – it’s perfect for conducting business without being too prim.
