It ranked behind Love Live! The School Idol Movie and Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale among late-night anime films. Sentai Filmworks screened an English dub in the United States and Canada.
The six-part Girls und Panzer das Finale began on December 9, 2017, with Parts 2, 3, and 4 following in 2019, 2021, and 2023. Their combined box office reached about ¥2.3 billion. Part 5 is scheduled for October 2026, while manga spin-offs, games, music releases, and Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! expanded the franchise.
