Hushmail is a secure email created in Canada. The platform was officially launched in 1999. Compared to competitors on the market, a feature of the service is that all letters sent by users within the system are encrypted using modern protocols. Hushmail employees regularly investigate potential threats to ensure that customers securely send confidential emails. For example, for authorization in your account, you must enter not just a password but a “passphrase.” This codeword consists of a whole phrase, so it will be more difficult for attackers to hack into an account. The mail platform is actively used in Canada and throughout the world.

Meaning and History

Hushmail Logo History

Even though Hushmail has been on the market for over 20 years, the platform logo has remained unchanged since that time. It was introduced a few days after the official launch of the secure email service.

The Hushmail brand logo consists of two elements – a verbal name and an emblem located slightly to the right. The name is conditionally divided into two blocks, even though this is a single word. For the “Hush” part, a classic bold sans-serif was used. All symbols of this block are made in dark blue color. The “mail” part was done in italic lowercase characters. At the same time, the font used was identical to the first part. The changes also affected the color. There was a gray color here. Some variations of the featured logo also use a small horizontal orange underline directly below the “Hushmail” name.

What is Hushmail?

First of all, this is an opportunity not to worry about whether third parties will read the letter. The presented platform guarantees client security, which is the most important factor for using the email service for many.

Hushmail Symbol

A black keyhole inside a frame represents the secure email logo. It, in turn, is made in the form of an orange oval diagonally oriented towards the castle.

In general, it is not surprising that no decisions were made to redesign the logo for such a long time. Even today, it remains relevant and modern. It conveys the message to potential Hushmail customers because, in addition to the name, the emblem indicates the security that most people associate with a lock.

Font and Colors

Hushmail Emblem

The verbal name of the service, “Hushmail,” is made in a classic bold font, as close as possible to Times New Roman. As a basis, an interesting decision was made to separate “Hush” and “mail.” It is not only about different colors but also about the style of writing.

The color palette of the secure email platform immediately evokes a sense of calm and confidence in users. All colors, namely blue, gray, black, and orange, allow potential customers to navigate the message that the Hushmail management conveys. Thus, with the help of the logo, the essence of the functioning of the service, its task in the framework of interaction with users, is clearly and concisely reflected.
