The Path of Exile logo invites you to become a brave and daring game hero and go on a treasure hunt. Behind the emblem, you can see brave knights, combat missions, travel to unknown lands, and loot in the form of ancient coins.
Path of Exile: Brand overview
Path of Exile is a free-to-play role-playing video game adapted for several popular platforms. It was released for Microsoft Windows in 2013, Xbox One in 2017, and PlayStation 4 in 2019. There is also a macOS version now. The role-player is published by Grinding Gear Games from New Zealand. A group of specialists worked on the game: designer Chris Wilson, screenwriters Nick Jones, Edwin McRae, Brian Weissman, artist Erik Olofsson, and programmer Jonathan Rogers.
As conceived by the authors, the video game contains several alternative modes, each available to gamers. The first is Standard. The processes within it develop on their own, and the defeated heroes are reborn in the city they last visited, but without their accumulated experience. The second is HC (Hardcore). In this case, the characters are not revived in the same place they are revived, but they fall into the first mode. The third is SSF (Solo Self Found). The heroes of this league cannot exchange with others or join groups; they can only create their items.
The player goes through quests and fights monsters, earning valuable equipment and points. From a bird’s-eye view, the character is controlled from a high point. The gamer also explores dungeons, caves, and open areas. In addition, participants are offered a choice of any available classes to transform into Witch, Templar, Shadow, Scion, Ranger, Marauder, or Duelist. Each of them receives one of the basic characteristics: intelligence, agility, or strength.
Items are randomly generated. They have special sockets for gems and have special properties. In addition, the value of such artifacts is different and depends on their rarity, so part of the game for gamers is spent searching for items to get a more profitable sample. The same applies to gems in weapons, armor, and some rings.
Meaning and History
The RPG emblem reflects this and much more. It is made in the spirit of ancient magic and designed as an exotic attribute. The color scheme matches the magic spirit and the power of confronting dangerous enemies. The sign looks like a seal and a decoration at the same time.
The logo is egg-shaped and has wings on the right and left sides. Next to them are miniature circles decorated with ornaments. They form recesses for precious stones. A thin line extends upward from them, forming an arch, on which there are three round plates with portraits of the supreme beings. Each of them has a bright gem on the forehead: blue (center), green (right), and red (left).
What is the Path of Exile?
Path of Exile is a free-to-play action role-playing video game (ARPG) where players explore territories and complete quests to gain experience, develop skills, and upgrade equipment. It was created by the New Zealand-based company Grinding Gear Games and released in 2013. Initially, a version for Microsoft Windows was released, followed by versions for gaming consoles and macOS.
In the lower part, a wide stripe with engraved patterns is visible, as the emblem’s texture resembles aged metal or wood. In the middle is an inscription of the video game’s name, in an individual style. The text spans two lines: “Path of” at the top and “Exile” at the bottom. The first part has small print; the second has large print. The “X” is shaped like a forged element, and the “I” looks like a huge nail dividing the word into two halves.
The background of the text is light. On the one hand, it is milky white with red veins; on the other, it is red-brown, as if with flashes of flame or bloody streaks. The characters fit into the bottom of the edging. Black characters on such a substrate look intimidating, consistent with the concept of a role-playing video game.
Font and Colors
The developers chose a designer typeface for a unique logo. The logo is decorated in the style of rare antiquities as if it were a valuable historical artifact. Both “E” letters have pointed teeth at the ends. “X” looks like a forged tool, and “I” is made of a huge metal nail.
The corporate palette includes dark colors: brown, crimson, and black. However, it also includes light colors such as milky, blue, green, gold, and copper.
