The story of Stellar Blade began in 2019 when SHIFT UP, a South Korean game studio known for mobile titles, announced its first big console project, initially named Project EVE. The studio’s founder, Kim Hyun-Tae, dreamed of creating an ambitious action game that blended exciting combat with RPG elements. Early gameplay footage caught the gaming community’s attention thanks to its fast-paced battles and detailed visuals crafted with Unreal Engine. Interest grew further after a PlayStation event showcase revealed more of the game’s intriguing world and mechanics. Eventually, the game was officially renamed Stellar Blade and became a PlayStation 5 exclusive through a strengthened partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment. From the name and logo of the game, many can guess what theme awaits players: something cosmic, intense, filled with energy, and high-speed battles.
Two elements immediately catch the attention of the Stellar Blade logo: the large letter “S” and the bright blue glow enveloping the entire composition. The lines of the letter “S” are soft and smooth, wrapping around the title and appearing as if drawn by a single swing of a blade, hence the “Blade” in the name. At the point where the letter touches the text, small particles scatter like sparks or fragments, enhancing the aggressive impression.
The text consists of two contrasting parts: the word “Stellar” is written in thin, elegant script, while “BLADE” is highlighted in a bold, massive italic font. The letters in the second word appear carved from a solid material, hinting at the game’s combat elements, where players will wield weapons and engage in dynamic battles.
