Amon Amarth Logo

Swedish band Amon Amarth sings songs about Vikings, which explains their interest in the Scandinavian style. The creators of the logo did not use the original Viking runes, as this would have made the text difficult to read. Instead, they modified the letters of the English alphabet by rounding them and adding new lines. The text is divided into two lines, and there are no spaces between characters.

This design choice is reminiscent of a bridge. It connects the modern world with the ancient world of the Vikings. The rounded letters give a softness, which is very convenient, as Vikings are often considered rough and rigid. The logo is a successful combination of old and new.
