Baltic Sea Handball Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

Baltic Sea Handball Logo New

The Baltic Sea Handball international tournament, in which national teams from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland compete annually, has unveiled an updated visual identity. Specialists developed the new concept from the Trendo Sports agency. Organizers decided to refresh the design to emphasize the tournament’s growing popularity in European handball, making its image brighter while preserving the unity of participating countries and highlighting their distinct national identities.

Baltic Sea Handball Logo Evolution

The previous logo featured a handball wrapped with the national flags of participating teams, surrounded by a blue wave-like pattern symbolizing the Baltic Sea. Despite its brightness and originality, the old design—with gradients and intricate elements—did not translate well to digital applications and print media. The typography of the previous logo was overly simple and failed to reflect the dynamic nature of the sport.

The updated version has become simpler and more graphic. At its center is a ball composed of intersecting geometric lines in blue, red, yellow, and dark blue. The geometric style conveys organization and unity, emphasizing the competition’s athletic nature and the participants’ multinational composition. Removing unnecessary elements and gradients has made the tournament’s image more modern, lively, and suitable for various media.

While the previous version used a generic, standard font set, the new emphasis is placed on the word “Handball,” presented in large, expressive typography that conveys the athletic character and high level of the tournament.

The color scheme has been simplified: instead of blurred gradients, the logo now utilizes clear, vibrant colors that are more impactful and easily perceived online and in print.

An important new addition is the inclusion of the event location: “Lithuania 2025.” Now, it’s immediately clear where the upcoming tournament will occur, providing an additional connection to the host country while maintaining the overall Baltic theme.

The updated style helps reinforce the tournament’s status as a prominent event in European handball. The bold, contemporary design reflects the energy of the sport, uniting fans and athletes from different countries.
