The creation of the Celsius logo is linked to the idea of its founders, Greg Horn, Irina Lorenzi, and Steve Haley, who, in Delray Beach, Florida, developed a drink with thermogenic properties. The brand name is a reference to the body’s temperature scale, energy, and metabolic activity. At the same time, the visual image of the emblem takes a metaphorical form, represented by the shape of fire. It emphasized the concept of a product designed to accelerate metabolism and aid in calorie burning.

The composition of the mark is built around a dynamic shape resembling the Latin letter “C.” Its silhouette is formed by broad, multilayered lines that flow smoothly into one another, creating a seamless and elegant appearance. In the color gradient from bright yellow to deep orange-red, an effect of a vortex or stream of thermal energy is created. The arc ends are sharpened, which enhances the impression of a directed impulse and symbolically expresses the process of thermogenesis.

The word “CELSIUS” is integrated into the fiery circle and presented in a geometric grotesque typeface in uppercase. The black text color contrasts with the flaming frame, making the name visible even against a bright background. Above the letter “I” is a miniature spiral-shaped fire sign in a dark orange shade. It resembles a spark or a flash of heat, evoking associations of warmth.

The Celsius emblem’s color system is based on a palette of warm tones. Yellow, orange, and red together form an image of warmth, energy, and activity. The entire range aligns with the theme of a functional beverage designed to energize the body and support a healthy lifestyle.

As a result, the design combined the symbolism of fire, dynamic motion, and strict typography. The logo conveyed the company’s idea and established Celsius as a brand offering products with scientifically grounded properties and a strong emotional impact.

2024 – today

The Celsius rebranding became part of the company’s restructuring when the brand shifted its focus away from positioning the drink as a calorie-burning product. The new visual style was designed to convey a broader range of associations, including thermogenesis, health, physical activity, and enjoyment of the product. According to expert estimates, the investment volume for the identity update totaled $1.3 billion. This level of spending indicates the extent of the transformation process and demonstrates the company’s ambition to solidify its position in the wellness-oriented market.

The construction of the mark changed. While the previous version’s main motif was based on fire, the brand’s primary symbol now focuses on the letter “C.” It gained a volumetric appearance thanks to a double gradient. The upper part is painted in orange-yellow shades symbolizing energy and warmth. The lower part is executed in a silvery-gray palette, adding a sense of technology and premium quality. Their balance emphasizes the transition from purely fiery symbolism to an image in which energy combines with modern style and stability.

A small circle was added to the logo on the left and above, resembling a degree symbol. It refers to the brand name and maintains a link with the original concept of temperature. It visually expresses the idea of control and measurement, which harmoniously supports the new brand philosophy.

The typography retained a strict grotesque but became heavier. The thickened strokes made the “CELSIUS” name more massive and solid. The lettering conveys confidence and reliability, aligning with the company’s positioning as a mature player in the functional beverage category.

Below the main name, the slogan “LIVE FIT” appeared in orange. It highlights the brand’s key message, emphasizing an active lifestyle and balanced consumption. The slogan was introduced in 2016, but it became a central element of communication only after the rebranding.

In 2025, Celsius reinforced its renewed identity with a large-scale marketing campaign under the motto LIVE. FIT. GO. The campaign was executed by the agency Anomaly with the participation of producer Jackson Tisi. The company expanded the brand’s perception, transforming its concept into a comprehensive philosophy of life centered on activity and a positive attitude toward oneself.
