This creature was not chosen by chance because it was with its help that the ancient Greeks performed various healing rituals.
Moreover, snakes were also mentioned in the Old Testament in the Bible. They were depicted there as a symbol of health and prosperity. As a result, it is not surprising that dentists use a snake in their emblem.
What is Dental?
It is one of the most important branches of medicine. Millions of medical institutions around the world provide dental services to their clients. Almost everyone has visited a dentist at least once in their life. The Dental logo in various color variations can be seen in almost any hospital, especially in special departments involved in dental treatment.
Behind the main image are also 20 berries and 32 leaves. Interestingly, these elements also symbolize dentistry: the number of milk and permanent teeth in a person’s mouth.
The Dental logo has two frames, one triangular and one round. At the same time, the triangle is a letter of the Greek alphabet, namely Delta, and a symbol of dentistry. The round frame is also a reference, as it is the first letter in the word “odont,” which can be translated as “tooth.” Both frames are in contact with each other, which creates a sense of three-dimensionality and magic.
Generally, the logo is displayed in various colors depending on the surface. At the bottom, as a rule, “Dentistry” is also written. The word is written in classic bold sans-serif capitals within a circular frame.
Font and Colors
The main emphasis of the dentistry logo is on the image and symbols. However, there is also an additional inscription, “Dentistry.” It is made in a classic sans-serif typeface. As a result, it looks official, only confirming the medical nature of the Dental logo.
