The old logo featured an elegant, italic serif font with fine lines to convey sophistication and femininity. However, the design choice to emphasize the letters “ila” felt slightly off. It missed an opportunity to highlight either “Mila,” referencing the founder, or “mend,” which ties directly to the brand’s health-focused message. The bright orange background added energy but didn’t quite align with the brand’s scientific foundation, feeling a little too bold for the message it wanted to convey.

The new logo takes a cleaner, more balanced approach. The updated typeface is a customized version of Tiempos Headline, a classic serif font known for its crisp lines and timeless feel. A graceful ligature connects the “L” and “A,” creating a smooth, fluid link without disrupting the structure. The spacing between “A” and “M” adds a slight gap, bringing a modern edge to the otherwise traditional look.

One of the standout features is the new monogram—a stylized “M” formed from interwoven lines. It subtly hints at the shape of ovaries, tying into the brand’s focus on women’s health in a thoughtful, understated way. The overlapping lines suggest connection, care, and continuity, reinforcing the idea of holistic well-being. The design feels soft and structured, striking a balance reflecting Milamend’s mission. Of course, symbolic design can land differently depending on personal perspectives, but this one manages to be both meaningful and tasteful.
