The Odd Future Records logo consists of only two letters and is the official label of the group. The abbreviation OF stands for Odd Future (Strange Future). In fact, the full name of the collective is much longer – OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All). For the studio name, they kept only the first two letters.

What is Odd Future?

Odd Future is a recording studio and, simultaneously, the name of a rap group active in the United States from 2007 to 2016. The peak of popularity fell in 2010-2011. The studio was founded in 2011, when the comedy show also appeared, followed by a clothing line from the musicians.

The logo letters are designed as two donuts covered with pink icing. This is an unusual choice for a music group and studio. Several factors could have influenced this decision:

• The young age of the musicians: when the group was formed, the members were teenagers.
• Spontaneity: the logo reflects a love for desserts, which the group members may have consumed during rehearsals.
• Humorous career: starting in 2011, when the label was created, some members of Odd Future became actors in a comedy TV series. Hence the playful, animated elements in the form of donuts on the logo.

The pastry logo can be seen as an analogy, conveying the sweetness of creativity. In an alternative version of the logo, the icing drips from the dough, forming drops. The emblem symbolizes the hot atmosphere that arises on the stage where the collective performs and albums are recorded.
