SsangYong Logos and Brands
The South Korean automaker, founded in 1954, operates under the “SsangYong” brand. The company specialized in SUVs and crossovers, with the Rexton, Korando, and Musso models forming its core lineup. Multiple changes of ownership, from Daewoo to Shanghai Automotive (SAIC) and India’s Mahindra, culminated in bankruptcy in 2020 and in an acquisition by the KG Group consortium in 2022. The rebranding to KGM (KG Mobility) marked the abandonment of the SsangYong name and triple-ring logo. This section captures the visual history of a brand that has survived four corporate owners in three decades and ultimately lost its former name.
