The Well Coffeehouse Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

The Well Coffeehouse Logo New

The coffee shop The Well, founded in 2012, has introduced a new style and logo, completely rethinking its visual language. Since its opening, the establishment has directed all profits toward building clean water wells in various countries. Over the years, the project has helped more than 200,000 people in 24 countries.

The previous design did not reflect the mission’s meaning or scale. The logo resembled a top-down view of a coffee cup, and the interior and identity created the atmosphere of a classic, cozy café, with wooden signs, wall quotes, and a monochrome palette. Despite strong slogans such as “Where Coffee Changes Lives” and “Turning Coffee into Water,” the visual image did not convey the brand’s uniqueness.

The new identity directly reflects the mission of transforming coffee into clean water. The logo was created by hand, with letterforms flowing smoothly like streams of water. The transition between the letters “W,” “e,” and “l” is especially expressive, creating a sense of natural movement. The color foundation is a deep blue shade associated with depth and purity.

The visual system uses symbols that unite the themes of coffee and water: drops, beans, hands, and sprouts. One of the marks depicts a coffee branch transforming into a water drop. Another shows a hand supporting a sprout, as a metaphor for care and connection. The illustrations show real stories of baristas, farmers, and people the coffee shop has helped.

For the text part, the Avantt Bold typeface was chosen, adding structure and balance between soft and geometric shapes.

The renewed style conveys the idea of The Well, where every cup of coffee becomes a contribution to others’ lives. The new image combines warmth, humanity, and the brand’s sincere mission, expressing the idea of turning a daily ritual into real help.
