It was founded by two innovative engineers, Al Marzetta and Leo Kauppila, who started the business in a modest garage named K&M Engineering & Tool, Inc. After Leo Kauppila departed, the company rebranded as Altek Machine & Molds, Inc., embracing advanced technologies and attracting diverse clients, including those from the automotive and consumer industries.
