Aisin’s history began in 1943, when Toyota Motor Corporation and Kawasaki Aircraft combined to form Tokai Seiki, later renamed Tokai Aviation Industries, to produce aircraft engines during World War II. After the war, the company switched to making sewing machines and automotive parts under the name Aichi Kogyo. In 1965, it merged with Shinkawa Kogyo to form Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.

In 1969, it established Aisin-Warner, a joint venture with the American manufacturer BorgWarner specializing in automatic transmissions. In the 1980s, Aisin strengthened its global position by opening a plant in Seymour, USA, supplying parts to Honda, General Motors, and Toyota. In the 1990s, the company expanded its product range to include braking systems and clutches.

In 2005, Aisin opened a vehicle-component testing facility in the USA, and in 2019, together with Denso, it established BluE Nexus to produce powertrains for electric vehicles. In 2021, Aisin AI and Aisin AW merged to form Aisin Corporation. Today, the brand is a major supplier of automotive components and is listed in the Fortune Global 500.

The Aisin logo was executed in a simple, technological style. The brand name was written in large, right-slanting letters, symbolizing movement. A sans-serif font highlighted the brand’s industrial character.

All letters were uniform in size, creating a steady, rhythmic effect. The rich blue shade emphasized the company’s engineering focus.

For many years, the graphic was associated with the company’s high-quality automotive components. Minimalism and lack of decoration illustrated the Japanese corporation’s austere production philosophy.

The company is globally recognized for its expertise in automatic transmissions, automotive brakes, and engines. The logo represented product quality installed on Toyota and other brands’ vehicles.

Aisin Logo

The Aisin logo presents a concise, technological style that reflects the company’s high engineering standards and precision. The entire design focuses on typography, and the brand name is set in a unified typeface, in uppercase, slanted to the right.

The letter shapes are streamlined, with no sharp edges, and emphasize a technical nature without harshness. The two I letters are designed unusually. Their upper endings form small projections. The close spacing of the characters creates a unified rhythm and gives the word a confident visual look.

The slant of the characters adds a sense of motion and is associated with the automotive and technical fields, indicating the brand’s progressiveness and innovation. The main tone of the logo is a rich dark blue. This is a traditional color used by many Japanese manufacturers, known for their strict quality standards and attention to detail. The shade conveys stability and technical professionalism, supporting the company’s authority.

The updated logo combines elements of Japanese engineering tradition with modern design, serving as a recognizable symbol of Aisin’s technological identity.

Font and Colors

Aisin Symbol

The Aisin logo features uppercase letters set in an unusual, technological typeface. A slight rightward tilt in the design conveys a sense of acceleration. The distinctive feature of the font appears in the letters “I.” The top parts stretch into sharp shapes, resembling technical components. These accents give the emblem character.

The brand’s color scheme features a single rich blue shade. It is calm, technological, and typical of Japanese industrial design. Using a single color emphasizes the company’s serious approach to manufacturing.

The sans-serif font of the emblem appears balanced due to consistent line thickness. The smooth characters complement the brand’s futuristic concept.
