Eternal Research Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

Eternal Research Logo New

Eternal Research, a young New York-based brand in music and sound technology, has updated its logo, transforming a dry, impersonal emblem into an elegant mark with a refined mood and strong individuality.

The previous version looked standard for the tech environment and was built around an abstract symbol paired with the strict Helvetica typeface. At the early stage of developing the Demon Box device, this look felt appropriate. Over time, Eternal Research moved beyond its former image and presented a different perspective on sound and technological processes.

Eternal Research Logo Evolution

Founded in 2017 by designer and inventor Alexandra Fierro, the company develops devices at the intersection of science and mysticism. Its first product, Demon Box, was released in 2025 after a successful Kickstarter launch and quickly drew attention with its unusual concept. The device captures electromagnetic signals from surrounding objects and converts them into music and sound effects. Everyday items, such as a television or a phone, can function as musical instruments. The brand’s view of sound carries a subtle mystical undertone. Acoustics are perceived as a key to the hidden structure of the world, while technology becomes a means of hearing the invisible.

Eternal Research Symbol

Cotton, the New York studio, handled the style update for Eternal Research. The new logo’s foundation is a custom sans-serif typeface based on Trust by MCKL Type. All letters were crafted by hand. The forms reference traditional engraving techniques, giving the wordmark a unique and memorable feel. Irregular kerning, variations in the size of capital letters, and subtle mechanical roughness create a sense of craftsmanship and refinement. The overall appearance suggests the mark has existed for many decades. The logo would look natural on the window of an intimate bar or on the packaging of a niche perfume. From the previous version, the abstract symbol was retained and supplemented with a new monogram used sparingly.

The brand image is supported by Victorian ornaments developed by the Cotton Studio. The designers studied hundreds of archival images and used them to create contemporary interpretations using an online generator. The tool enables the creation of unique decorative patterns. The complex and elegant motifs align with the gothic mood of Demon Box and enhance the product’s mystical tone and name.

The textual part of the identity is built around three typefaces. Louize, inspired by ancient Roman inscriptions, is used for the main body text. Corporate S Pro serves a utilitarian purpose and is well-suited for captions and technical descriptions. The composition is completed by the calligrapher Felipa, who uses a classical Italian Renaissance script.

As a result, Eternal Research has developed a strong, distinctive image in which the technological environment meets historical motifs, analog associations intertwine with the devices’ digital nature, and music serves as the link between familiar reality and the hidden world of sound.
