The burgundy “Givaudan” logo dates to a time when the brand had already undergone major corporate changes and had returned to its independent name. The dark wine shade worked well for a company in the fragrance and flavor industry. It connected the image with tradition, precise work with raw materials, and an industry where nuance matters.

The logo was built on minimalism. On the left was the name “Givaudan,” set in a light typeface. The first letter remained uppercase, while the rest were lowercase.

Givaudan updated its logo as part of the transition to the slogan “Human by nature.” The company removed the circular symbol with the letter “G” and kept only the name as the basis.

The inscription retained the previous typesetting principle: an uppercase “G” followed by lowercase letters. The typeface remained light, with soft geometry, close to “Futura” or “Avenir.”

The color change also affected the image. The burgundy shade was replaced with black. The new tone removed the warm decorative quality of the old version.

In this form, “Givaudan” sounds less emotional but more precise for a major international company working in fragrances, flavors, and ingredients.
