Designed in 1992 by Massimo Vignelli and refined in 2013 by Abbott Miller of Pentagram, it featured a clean geometric sans-serif typeface. While it honored the museum’s architectural heritage, the logo’s focus on the New York location highlighted the need for a broader identity to encompass the foundation’s international reach.
