German company Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, which manufactures equipment for grooming ski slopes and clearing sand under the PistenBully and BeachTech brands, has updated its corporate identity. Studio 13 6 Design developed the new style in 2025. The project encompassed the logo, corporate typeface, and the entire visual identity system for the vehicle lineup.
The previous logo was built around a circular emblem featuring a bold letter K. The silver texture with highlights resembled a metal shield, and the company’s full name was displayed in strict uppercase letters to the right. In the new version, the layout remains the same, but the visual style has changed. The three-dimensionality and metallic finish are gone; the logo now has a flat appearance, and the circle with the monogram is dark blue. The name is split into two lines: Kässbohrer at the top and Geländefahrzeug AG below. The font remains sans-serif but looks lighter and more understated.
The K monogram continues to anchor the entire design. The new version is based on strict geometry and references the brand’s engineering heritage, which is associated with equipment for ski resorts, Arctic expeditions, and operations in harsh natural conditions.
A custom font, KG Sans, was created for the company. The family includes various widths and styles, from standard to condensed, including a version for the logo. The introduction of a custom font helped unify the brand’s visual identity and eliminate the need to constantly purchase third-party licenses. The logo uses a narrow style, so the long name remains clear even when scaled down.
The K Flag complements the system. The color may vary by division, but the overall structure remains consistent.
The new identity is built from modular components. The update makes the Kässbohrer brand more cohesive and contemporary, while maintaining a connection to the company’s historic monogram.
