Lucknow Super Giants Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

Lucknow Super Giants Logo New

The Lucknow Super Giants are approaching the 2026 season with a new logo and a different club branding style. The Lucknow-based team, owned by the RPSG Group, unveiled its new logo on February 24, on the eve of the upcoming Indian Premier League season. The update is part of a broader rebranding effort. Along with the logo, the team introduced a new uniform and updated colors, opening a new chapter in the franchise’s history.

The previous logo was centered on a vertical axis with wide wings on either side. Inside was a red cricket ball with white stitching, and below it stood the team’s full name, “” in large sans-serif blue type. The color scheme featured orange, yellow, gray, and green, with a clear nod to India’s national colors. The new logo moves the club away from its previous design toward a coat-of-arms style. At the center is now a round red shield featuring a frontal elephant head with large ears and curved tusks. A crown is raised above the shield, with golden wings with red outlines spreading out on either side, and the abbreviation LSG appears above the elephant’s head.

The club associates the new design with three symbols important to Lucknow and the state of Uttar Pradesh. The first symbol, Garuda, represents courage, a willingness to take on challenges, and the drive to rise higher. The crown signifies honor and a sense of responsibility toward the city and the fans. The elephant carries a different meaning: strength, wisdom, patience, and the loyalty of the fan base, which remains steadfast from season to season. Through this symbolism, the club seeks to demonstrate its connection to local culture and the people whose history the Lucknow Super Giants are built on.

Compared to the previous emblem, the new logo looks more austere and solemn. It has a weaker direct connection to sports equipment and relies more on regional meanings, the club’s status, and the community’s image. For a franchise that continues to establish its name in the league, this shift appears to be an attempt to define itself not through generic sports motifs but through local pride, a sense of place, and fan loyalty.
