Lufthansa Group unveiled a new look that emphasizes the unification of all divisions and airlines under a single name. In the new logo, a crane appears as a simplified silhouette of a bird in flight.
The name Lufthansa Group is set in a strict uppercase sans-serif typeface and placed to the right of the crane image. Dark blue became the primary color for the new logo and the overall visual style. The bird symbol was simplified.
The identity update is linked to the company’s reorganization, as it moves from the separate existence of individual airlines toward a more integrated structure. The group developed an expanded color palette to represent different altitude levels and added a new typeface to ensure visual unity across all applications.
Subsidiaries continue to use their own logos, but aircraft, boarding passes, and airport lounges have already begun displaying the phrase “Member of Lufthansa Group”. This approach has already been implemented in Milan, Brussels, and Rome and will extend to airports worldwide, as well as to onboard materials and baggage tags.
At present, the Lufthansa Group is the fourth-largest aviation holding company in the world by fleet size and revenue. In addition to five national carriers, its structure includes Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Technik, and more than 300 subsidiaries.
