The Rain logo symbolizes the purity and minimalism of premium vodka. The brand emphasizes simplicity, avoids additives, and eschews flashy advertising, offering a drink renowned for its smooth, clear taste.

Rain: Brand overview

Rain Vodka’s history began in 1997 when the American company Sazerac, known for bourbon production, decided to create a premium spirit. White corn, a rare ingredient for beverages of this kind, and limestone water from Kentucky were used in the vodka’s production. Production involved seven distillations, ensuring smoothness and purity.

In the early 2000s, Rain became one of the first organic vodkas in the US, using only organic corn. In 2009, a flavored vodka line was introduced featuring Lavender Lemonade, Cucumber Lime, Red Grape Hibiscus, and Honey Mango Melon. The product lineup later changed, and currently, there are three flavors: Classic, Cucumber, and Mango.

Thanks to its high quality, Rain Vodka has gained recognition at international competitions, including the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Today, it remains a key brand within the Sazerac portfolio, popular among consumers who appreciate premium, organic drinks.

Rain Logo

When creating the Rain brand style, designer Thomas Wilson used calligraphy that is atypical for the alcohol market. He developed a symbol that looks as if it were written by hand in a few seconds. The light, flowing inscription conveys a premium beverage brand.

The name “Rain” is rendered with a line resembling a signature. The letters are elongated and smooth, with a handwritten manner. The inscription is made in a rich blue shade known as Royal Blue. The color emphasizes the brand’s connection to water, the basis of the product, which the company sources from natural springs. The blue shade conveys purity and coolness, reinforcing the impression of the drink’s high quality.

The designer added details that made the composition more lively, thematically richer, and more closely connected to the title. The dot above the letter “i” was transformed into three raindrops. The drops are slightly pointed at the top and rounded at the bottom. The form conveys the naturalness of their fall and evokes associations with the name and with water, the product’s main component.

The lower part of the logo is underlined by a long, curved line that mirrors the inscription’s final stroke. The line is smooth and wave-like, supporting the water theme and complementing the image, creating a unified whole with the main inscription.

The design execution emphasizes the product’s origin and quality, linking it to nature and the purity of water sources, making the brand attractive in the alcoholic beverage market.
