Unlike the more neutral emblems of the previous decade, the new image focuses on the combination of concise typography and a painterly symbol. All this made it possible to unite engineering precision with associations of energy and development in a single image.
The basis of the logo is the large inscription RYZEN. A geometric sans-serif grotesque typeface is used, characterized by a straight-line structure of its glyphs. A distinctive feature of the letterforms is the intentional breaks in the horizontal strokes of “R” and “Z.” These strokes strengthen the impression of technology and recall the modular nature of electronic systems.
The typography is framed by a circular symbol executed in a brushstroke technique. It is open, giving the image a sense of asymmetry and movement. In style, the sign is close to the Eastern enso, a symbol of harmony and cyclicity. In the context of the AMD brand, the circular form works as a metaphor of development and renewal.
