The American company Three Dog Bakery, founded in Kansas City in 1989, has introduced an updated style. The manufacturer is recognized for being the first in the world to introduce a bakery that produces fresh baked goods specifically for dogs. Today, the network includes more than 50 locations in the U.S., Canada, and several other countries, and the company’s products are also sold in major retail chains.
The redesign is based on research into consumer preferences. Dog owners pay attention to the taste, ingredients, and packaging design of treats, which must inspire trust and provide aesthetic satisfaction.
The new logo retains the bone shape familiar to customers. Now the word “Three Dog” is placed at the top, while “Bakery” is at the bottom. The font has been enlarged, with smooth curves and thicker strokes added to the letters, making the name more expressive and easier to read.
The packaging has also been updated. It now features transparent windows in the shape of the treats, allowing customers to see the product. The purple awning has also been preserved. It first appeared on the original storefront in Kansas City, emphasizing the brand’s continuity and historical foundation.
The company’s story began with three dogs: Dottie, Gracie, and Sarah Jean. Their owners started baking treats by hand after one of the dogs developed an allergy to regular food. From a home experiment grew a business that later turned into an international network. This fact continues to shape the brand’s identity, with animal health and well-being at its core.
The first product in the new packaging was Bark’n Crunch! chicken chips. They come in two varieties: “Chicken” and “Chicken with Cheese.” The product has a high protein content and is available in various packaging sizes, ranging from 110ml to 450ml.
Marella Oviedo, Marketing Director of Three Dog Brands, noted that the update is connected to the expectations of dog owners, who see their pets as full members of the family. Other popular company products will also be featured in the new packaging.
The updated style of Three Dog Bakery combines heritage with modern design. The logo, transparent windows, and preserved historical awning create a system that highlights the brand’s origins and makes its products appealing to customers.
