Vamo was founded in Germany in 2023 and entered the heat pump market. Its idea was to make the transition to modern heating understandable and accessible for users. As a result, the company attracted consumers and received the award “Best Heat Pump Supplier 2024” from a reputable German organization.
The brand name is connected to the Danish expression “varm jord.” Translated, it means “warm earth.” One of the founders was inspired by Denmark’s experience, where heat pump technology has become part of everyday life. An additional association with the Spanish “vamos” creates a sense of dynamism and forward movement, reinforcing the brand’s energy and vitality.
The first logo looked predictable. It used green, a schematic leaf, and a neat but neutral typeface. The graphics were similar to those of many projects in the “green technology” segment and did not distinguish the company from its competitors.
The studio Studio zur Strassen proposed a different visual language. The new logo is based on strict geometric forms. The letters are composed of lines with a clear structure, and the peaks of the “A” and “M” are shaped like arrows, similar to the symbols on a thermostat panel. The symbol conveys the idea of climate control and reflects the technological direction of the brand.
The graphics appear sharp, but with prolonged use, they form a familiar image. The arrows begin to be perceived as a metaphor for temperature control and heat distribution. The logo turned out to be functional.
The typographic system is built around GT Pressura Extended Regular by Grilli. The monospaced style gives the lettering a technological character and emphasizes the engineering basis of the product. In addition, custom numerals were developed specifically for the company. They are used to display equipment parameters: temperature, power, and energy consumption levels. The combination of elements forms a visual signature and enhances the practical component of the style.
The bright green was replaced with more muted forest and cream shades, complemented by a rare orange accent. Their combination creates a sense of comfort and underscores the brand’s connection to everyday life. The colors help integrate the technology into a domestic context, showing that it fits naturally into the home environment.
The visual system includes a set of graphic solutions for interfaces, advertising materials, and packaging. The arrow symbols are used in pictograms and icons, while the custom numerals help create a unified communication language.
Vamo has acquired a visual style that reflects its ambitions and level of quality. The company demonstrates that the heat pump is not an abstract technology but a practical tool for creating comfort at home.
