The startup acceleration program Accel Atoms, active since 2021 and supporting early-stage founders, has introduced a new brand identity. The update covered the logo and the entire visual communication system. The project was developed by the studio Lopez Design.

The concept is based on the transition from “0 to 1,” expressing a metaphor for the growth of ideas and the search for new directions. The arrow passing between the numbers symbolizes the entrepreneur’s journey, experiments, and development. The visual elements include references to startup culture. The arrows intertwine with icons and images, among which appear unexpected characters such as Roger Federer or a Tyrannosaurus, emphasizing the diversity and unpredictability of the entrepreneurial path.

The logo has become simpler and more expressive. The previous version used a decorative atom instead of the letter “o,” which made it appear overloaded. The new mark consists of the classic Accel wordmark and a bold sans serif Atoms, based on Poppins with a modified letter “t.” The contrast between the logo’s parts has softened, making the overall image more unified and balanced.

The overall style is inspired by the atmosphere of startup offices, where ideas are born on whiteboards. The monochrome base emphasizes the system’s flexibility and openness. Some elements, such as the numbers “0” and “1,” could have been more distinctive, but the visual logic is preserved since the focus is on process rather than form.

Accel Atoms describes the update as a reflection of the idea of a constant beta version, where everything is in a state of change, improvement, and development. Over the past four years, the program has supported more than 40 projects in India and beyond. The new style conveys the energy and vibrancy of startup culture, combining play and structure in a single visual language.
