DNEG Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity

DNEG Logo New

Visual effects and animation studio DNEG has updated its logo and visual identity, entrusting the project to DesignStudio. The company has been well known for over 25 years and regularly receives awards for its work in film and advertising. As part of the rebrand, the logo was made cleaner and more convenient, while its recognizability was preserved.

DNEG Logo Evolution

The main changes affected the letters “N” and “E.” They previously appeared asymmetrical due to rounded corners. Now the letters have been straightened, making the wordmark look more balanced and easier to read. The iconic “D” and “G” letters, tilted in opposite directions, remain unchanged. The logo font has been slightly thickened, though the difference is minimal.

The logo’s black-and-white color scheme remains the same—it maintains a strict style and doesn’t distract from the studio’s work.

The most notable addition is the custom DNEG Script typeface, created in collaboration with Lift Type. This sans-serif font with compact lettering is bold and versatile. It works well in videos, on websites, and in print.

The updated design helps DNEG maintain its position as a leading company in visual effects and animation while simplifying the use of the logo and fonts across different formats.
