For its twentieth anniversary, the DTEK Group decided to entirely rethink its brand. The company believes energy today signifies much more than just electricity. Its new mission statement reads: “Our energy powers life.” This concept forms the basis of the updated logo, corporate principles, and development strategies.
The previous logo featured a geometric, unconventional style. Its originality stemmed from the intertwining letters and a prominent yellow color, but the form was overly complex. The updated version is visually simpler and more comprehensible to audiences: now each letter is readable, and the distinctive yellow symbol is more compact. The logo is more balanced and stable while maintaining its core concept: the combination of black and yellow colors associated with energy and warmth.
Long recognized as a key player in Ukraine’s energy market, the company’s strategy reflects its ambition to look beyond the domestic market. DTEK’s new vision emphasizes its goal to assume a leading position in the European energy sector. The company is confident that achieving this depends on its employees, advanced technology, and international partnerships.
Alongside the logo, DTEK has updated its corporate guidelines. The team now emphasizes ambition, teamwork, excellence, flexibility, partnership, and customer focus. These principles were intentionally selected, reflecting changes in global trends and energy-related challenges.
The logo is also accompanied by a new slogan, “Our Energy Powers Life,” encapsulating the company’s transformation and highlighting its commitment to staying closer to consumers. This phrase underscores social responsibility and emphasizes the importance of the company’s work, especially during challenging times for the country.
Over the twenty years of its existence, DTEK has become Ukraine’s largest private investor in the energy sector, investing in renewable energy sources, coal and natural gas production, energy trading, and energy services. The company has already invested more than €12 billion and employs 55,000 people.
The logo redesign reflects the internal changes occurring within the company, its aspirations for growth, and integration into the European energy system. The new image communicates that DTEK is ready to move forward, offering a modern understanding of energy and its essential role in our lives.
