The British company Nopinz, founded in 2010 by cyclist Blake Pond, has introduced an updated brand and logo. Known for its innovative racing suits with transparent pockets for race numbers that freed athletes from safety pins, the brand has adopted a modern visual language that conveys the idea of maximum speed without unnecessary details.
The new identity was developed by the London studio Blackburn. The old logo, featuring a safety pin and “speed” lines, looked outdated and overloaded, losing the impression of a premium sports brand. The focus has now shifted to pure form and meaning.
The updated mark is set in uppercase letters of the Greed Condensed Bold typeface. The letter “O” in the name has become the brand’s symbol, as it resembles a zero and is used as an independent abbreviation for NO. The font is straight, rigid, and without decoration. It precisely reflects Nopinz’s idea based on removing all excess for maximum performance.
The brand color, Zone 5, is a shade between red and orange, associated with the peak zone of physical exertion. It symbolizes the moment when an athlete performs at their absolute limit. The company made this color the key accent of its identity, applying it across all communication.
Special attention was given to signature phrases and slogans created using the same typeface. Large text and strong wording create a powerful visual impact and express the brand’s confident, independent, and uncompromising character.
The updated Nopinz conveys the same idea that the company began with. It is about eliminating the unnecessary, focusing on what matters, and moving at the limit of possibility.
