Reynolds Consumer Products traces its history to Reynolds Metals and has no connection to the Reynolds family’s tobacco business. Richard S. Reynolds Sr. founded the U.S. Foil Company in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1919. The company adopted the name Reynolds Metals Company in 1928, and the founder’s last name became the basis of the brand.
The current logo is associated with the consumer products business of Reynolds Group. Consumers primarily associate the Reynolds name with aluminum foil, packaging, and household materials.
A bright blue Reynolds wordmark forms the foundation of the logo. The first letter, “R,” is uppercase, while the remaining letters are lowercase.
