The art of creating fragrances and companies involved in developing perfume formulas form the “Perfumery” section. Givaudan, Firmenich (now DSM-Firmenich), IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances), and Symrise are the “invisible giants” that create fragrance compositions for Dior, Gucci, and hundreds of other brands. Most consumers are unaware that a fragrance from a famous fashion house was developed by a perfumer working in the laboratory of one of the four companies listed above. The logos in this section belong to corporations and workshops where the “nose” (perfumer-creator) works with thousands of raw materials, and a single successful fragrance formula can generate royalties for decades.
