Super Rugby Logos and Brands

The international club rugby tournament from the Southern Hemisphere determines the content of the “Super Rugby” section. Teams from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and, in different years, Argentina, Japan, and the Pacific Islands made up the competition format, which has undergone numerous reorganizations since its launch in 1996. The Crusaders, Blues, Brumbies, Stormers, and Bulls feature knights, ocean waves, racehorses, and wild animals in their emblems, reflecting the regional identities of their cities and provinces. The tournament logo and the participating teams’ logos capture the history of attempts to create a unified rugby competition spanning three continents and multiple time zones.
