The American household chemicals brand “Alter:Bio” has updated its visual style and logo, created by the Austin-based studio Trackmeet. The company, founded by Lauren Taylor, is entering the U.S. market with a line of home care products based on synbiotics, a combination of prebiotics and probiotics that provides safe, effective cleaning.
“Alter:Bio” follows European safety standards and avoids parabens, sulfates, silicones, and other harsh ingredients. The product line includes The Active Dish Soap and The Active Surface Spray. The packaging is made from recycled materials, emphasizing the brand’s ecological focus.
The central element of the new identity is the logo with distinctive typography. The letters appear to have a life of their own. Their lines are softly distorted, and the shapes seem fluid. The visual style conveys the interaction between probiotics and prebiotics, which together drive natural biological activity. In animation, the letters “breathe” and ripple, evoking associations with foam or liquid and highlighting the products’ living nature.
Next to the logo, a monogram “A:B” appears alongside the slogan “Welcome to the future of clean.” It is set in the precise technical typeface Zagma Mono with slightly rounded details that harmonize with the main mark. The contrast between the soft logo and the scientific accuracy of the monogram reinforces the brand’s key principle of combining nature and technology.
The identity is built on the combination of opposing elements: organic and systematic, life and science. The visual style helps the brand emphasize its innovative approach and establish its own niche in the household cleaning market.
“Alter:Bio” shows how modern technology and natural processes can work together to create products that are safe for people and the environment.
