The DHA Bahawalpur project commenced in 2015, when the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) decided to expand into Bahawalpur, aiming to provide modern residential solutions to meet the city’s growing housing demand.
In 2016, DHA acquired land strategically located near major transit routes on the outskirts of Bahawalpur, setting the stage for initial surveys and infrastructure planning. Development formally commenced in 2017, involving the registration of land and the submission of buyer applications.
Construction of roads and utilities started in 2018, supported by a comprehensive master plan that included residential neighborhoods, commercial zones, and public spaces. By 2019, DHA prioritized essential services, initiating medical, retail, and educational infrastructure.
The project’s second phase launched in 2020, expanding residential zones and introducing parks and sports facilities. By 2021, infrastructure work enabled the construction of homes, welcoming the community’s first residents.
Commercial facilities emerged prominently in 2022, including retail stores, a community center, and a mosque. In 2023, DHA continued developing educational and recreational amenities while enhancing existing facilities.

This is a modern residential complex in Pakistan designed for the comfort and convenience of residents. It features a variety of housing types, ranging from private villas to multi-story apartment buildings, all set within well-developed infrastructure. Residents can access educational and medical institutions, shopping areas, parks, and recreational spaces. Wide streets, well-maintained green spaces, and a convenient location make the district a desirable place to live. A security system, uninterrupted electricity, and a water supply also ensure comfortable living conditions.
2015 – today
The DHA Bahawalpur logo combines architectural motifs, natural imagery, and references to the local culture of the region of Pakistan. The composition is organized according to the principle of asymmetry. On the left is a complex of several symbolic forms, and on the right is a text block.
The basis of the left part is a large circle colored with a gradient from yellow to deep orange. The background resembles a sunset and is associated with Bahawalpur’s geographic location in the southwest of the country. Against the background of the sun is the silhouette of a historic building in black. The arches and domes reproduce features of local architecture and recall the city’s heritage. Next to it is a modern gray residential building. Its straight lines and the contrast between the roof and the facade emphasize the specifics of housing construction. Between the two architectural forms, against the backdrop of the sunset, stand white palm trees, symbolizing the natural environment and the region’s climatic features.
The right part is built on the principle of text hierarchy. At the top is the abbreviation DHA, typed in a strict sans-serif grotesque, large in size and bold in weight. Below is the word Bahawalpur. It is executed in the same font but at a smaller scale and with thinner strokes. Both text elements are colored brown, associated with land, stability, and solidity. The acronym and the city name form a clear vertical, visually balancing the left block.
