Honda has unveiled an updated version of the H mark for the brand’s automotive division, amid electrification and the development of intelligent technologies. The new emblem will appear on next-generation electric vehicles and hybrid models, with sales scheduled to begin in 2027. Over time, the mark is planned to be rolled out consistently across all audience touchpoints, including dealer spaces, advertising materials, and motorsports-related projects.
Since 1963, the H letter’s image has changed many times, but the current update is described as the most radical in recent years. The familiar outer frame has been removed, the inner negative spaces have become wider, and the lines have taken on a softer character. Honda compares the new form to two elongated hands reaching toward each other. This association reflects the brand’s intention to broaden the understanding of mobility, shape new values, and respond to audience expectations amid the automotive market’s transformation.
A separate focus of the update process is the Honda 0 Series electric vehicle lineup. These models are being developed from scratch. It refers to an early stage in the company’s history, when it focused on technological experimentation and the search for new forms of transportation.
According to the company, the industry is undergoing a period of large-scale change driven by the shift to electric powertrains and the adoption of intelligent systems. In this context, the updated H letter is expected to mark a new stage in the brand’s development and to take leading positions through advanced technologies and advantages that go beyond familiar expectations.
Use of the updated mark will begin with models released after 2027, including electric vehicles and large HEV models. Over time, the new version of the H will be applied across all products and activities within Honda’s automotive division, from production vehicles to communication materials and racing programs.
