On April 28, 2026, Freepik changed its name to Magnific. The company moved from an image of a stock content service to that of an AI platform for creative work. The product had grown beyond a library of vectors, icons, photos, and templates.
The main change is visible in the logo. The bright blue FREEPIK wordmark, with its heavy type and exclamation point, was replaced by the name Magnific and an abstract “M” symbol. The previous wordmark recalled a mass digital service for designers. The new version feels calmer and more aligned with AI-based products, focusing on a content-creation workspace.
The symbol became a compact emblem for the platform. It separates Magnific from the former Freepik image and helps the brand be perceived differently. The focus shifted from searching for ready-made assets to generating images, video, audio, 3D materials, upscaling, and working with projects in one space.
The wordmark became lighter. The name is set in a sans-serif typeface with rounded forms. The previous promotional pressure gave way to a calmer presentation. After the blue, the black color makes the brand feel more mature. It brings it closer to professional services for teams, studios, marketers, and independent creators.
The name Magnific works for the platform’s new level. It moves the brand away from associations with icons and templates and toward enhancing creative work through AI. The Freepik foundation remained. Accounts, subscriptions, projects, generated images and videos, downloads, collections, and user history have moved to magnific.com under the same login.
The new Magnific brand brings together a creative workspace, a library of more than 250 million assets, and tools for different types of content. The Freepik and Magnific APIs will temporarily operate in parallel. The previous endpoints will remain available for at least six months after launch. The Freepik mobile app was renamed Magnific through an update.
The rebrand shows a change in the company’s role in the market. Freepik was known as a resource for downloading materials. Magnific presents itself as an AI creative ecosystem and production platform. The user starts with an idea, manages the process, and receives a finished visual, audio, or 3D result.
