Method has unveiled a new brand identity created by Munich-based Studio zur Strassen. Launched in 2023, the company works with the U.S. Department of Defense, major government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Its portfolio includes two key products. Bastion helps identify vulnerabilities and monitor risks through digital twins. Reaper is responsible for simulating attacks and conducting offensive operations in the digital environment.
The brand is rooted in engineering logic. Studio zur Strassen built the system around a modular grid inspired by structures designed for heavy loads and long-term service. This framework underpins the entire brand identity, from composition to typography, and is closely tied to the company’s core activities. Security often remains out of sight, but here it has been given form, rhythm, and substance.
The main logo is built around a cluster of five hexagons. The shapes are arranged into a compact geometric structure that reveals a network of interconnected nodes and an abstract letter M. The Method’s logo had a different style in the old version. It was based on the theme of data flow and digital infrastructure. Next to the name was an abstract block of lines and dots, and the full name METHOD SECURITY reinforced the technical style. It was a sort of nod to Morse code. This image looked unusual, though it was too straightforward and was already holding the brand back.
In the updated logo, the name was shortened to Method. The text is set in Untitled Sans. The font is austere and calm. Paired with the symbol, it gives the brand a mature and composed look. The hexagonal structure extends throughout the entire system. It appears in product icons, background compositions, and animations, where modules assemble into dense structures and convey the idea of continuous infrastructure protection.
The project’s greatest success lies in how Studio zur Strassen translated a complex field into an appealing visual identity. The identity speaks to control, architecture, and deep engineering discipline. For a company working with the government, defense, and large businesses, this image is ideally suited to its work.
