In 2017, the online platform Videovor emerged, allowing users to download videos from sites such as YouTube and Vimeo. Users could conveniently save videos by simply entering a link to the video, and the platform supported downloads primarily in MP4 format.

Videovor did not burden users with registration and login, providing its services for free. For greater user convenience, browser extensions were developed to make the downloading process even more convenient, especially from YouTube. Special apps have been developed for the mobile audience.

The design philosophy of the platform is based on simplicity, which ensures easy navigation and use of the service. Once videos are uploaded, they are archived in the “Download History” section of the Videovor website, allowing users to view previously uploaded files.

In 2023, Videovor will still maintain its position by focusing on its core offering – convenient video downloading. However, this approach has not come without potential problems. The service operates in a gray area, as downloading copyrighted content without proper authorization raises legal concerns. What the consequences of these potential legal problems will be is not yet known.
