The Patient-Powered Research Network was established in 2012, allowing patients to participate directly in research initiatives. Two years later, the Praxis program began training primary healthcare providers in advanced management of COPD.
In 2016, the foundation established a national patient registry to gather data on treatment outcomes and disease progression. COPD360net was established in 2018 to create a network of clinical research centers, thereby expediting the development of new treatments.
Educational outreach expanded further in 2020 with the introduction of new online resources and a telemedicine service, thereby enhancing access to care. The key element is a mark of four triangular blades resembling a propeller or a rotating windmill. The blades are colored alternately, one in deep orange, the next in dark blue. The pointed shapes and dynamic arrangement create the illusion of air movement, evoking associations with breathing. At the center of the composition are lungs with a detailed representation of their bronchial tree and vascular system. The text block is placed to the right of the emblem.
